Have you ever thought about the difference between “liking” a Facebook page and “liking” a friend’s post or note? You may have also wondered why all the posts on your company page get so many likes but not many people have liked your page itself. It’s okay, you’re not the only one. Because Facebook is always changing what they call things (fans, friends, likes, etc.) and their rules (see below for more on fan-gating), a lot of small business owners want to know how to get more people to like their pages and interact with their posts. Facebook likesare needed for everyone who loves to add more charm to his/her profile.

How is “Liking” a Page Different from “Liking a Post”?

If you want to connect with it then “like” a Page, when you “like” a friend’s post, you let them know you liked it without writing a note.

You’ll start to see news from a Page in your News Feed after you connect to it. The Page will also show up on your page, and the Page will see that you like it.

Both types of likes affect how many people see your posts, which in turn affects how well your Facebook marketing works.

Why liking a post doesn’t mean liking a page

For a post like to become a page like, the following would need to happen:

Someone who doesn’t follow you or like your page yet needs to see your post. Then they would have to click through to your business page (or hover over the link to see the like button appear in a pop-up).

Putting a like on a Facebook page

When you “like” a Page, you’re saying that you like the material or brand that the Page stands for. To do this is the same as giving it a thumbs up or a bear hug. When you “like” a Page, it will show up in your profile and the news feeds of other people.

You can like a Page, but that doesn’t mean you’ll see all of its posts in your news feed. The posts you see on Facebook are chosen by an algorithm that looks at your past interactions with the Page, your hobbies, and how you have set up your news feed in general.

Want Maximum People to Like Your Facebook Page

Productions mainly used to be able to use “Like Gates” or “Fan Gates” to make people like their main page before they could do something like they want to download a free report. This is similar to how you would arrange up an opt-in form on your website.

Facebook no longer allows “like blocking,” which means that you can’t “make” someone like your page before they can do something. We need to ask and tempt people to like our pages now. For people to like our page, we need to tell them “What’s in it for them?” just like with the other advertisements which we are using. That being said, there are many ways to get more people to like your page. Here are some ideas:

    ·         Tell everyone on your list about your Facebook page in a mass email. Tell them what’s on your page and ask them to Like it so they don’t miss any news.

    ·         Like the company pages of your users as if they were your own (rather than your Facebook page). A lot of people will Like you back right away. Treat your business partners and people in your network the same way.

    ·         People who come to your events, webinars, and talks should “like” your Facebook page and be invited to join you there. Giving them a good reason (benefit) to do it is important.

    ·         It’s also possible to “like” the business pages of people you might want to do business with.

    ·         You could run an ad to get people who are as close as possible to your dream customer to visit your page.

    ·         You can put a link to your Facebook page in your store, on your website, or in your email address.

    ·         Still, contests are a good way to get people to like your Facebook page. Again, you can’t make them like your page for them to join, so give them reasons and reminders to do it.

    ·         You can precisely target the sort of people’s likes you want to obtain now that you comprehend the alteration between page and post likes and why one sort of likes doesn’t always lead to the other.

Which is better for my Facebook business page: more likes or more followers?

It looks like “you want both!” isn’t the best answer, so it depends on what your brand wants to achieve. Some companies see Facebook as a popularity game and want to get as many followers as they can. This is also more useful if all you want to do is make more people aware of your business.  The fact is that if you want to know that “superiority over number of people ” is more significant and you want to upsurge meetings and sales, then supporters are more significant. Also, recall that getting more individuals to interrelate with your brand will benefit it and get more consideration, which can benefit to raise knowledge of your brand as a whole.

    Wrapping it up

If somebody likes your personal Facebook page, they are robotically signed up to follow it. This means that their feed will show your posts and they will be on the list of people who have liked you. It is important to know that people who like your page can unfollow it, which means they will not see your posts very often.so, keep an eye from where and how you get Facebook page likes. If you have a lot of likes but not many followers, you might want to think about the quality of your likes. If they aren’t interested in your posts, they might not unlike them either.
